

Aki Aleong
Aki Aleong is a multifaceted talent whose impressive career spans over six decades as an actor, singer, writer, producer, and activist. A prominent figure in the entertainment industry, he has made significant contributions to diversity initiatives, serving on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and as the National Chair of SAG's Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. Additionally, he played vital roles in organizations such as Asians in Media (AIM), the Media Coalition of Los Angeles, and the Media Action Network for Asian Americans (MANAA). In recognition of his accomplishments, he received an Honorary Doctorate from New Dimensions University in 2013.
Aki's illustrious journey began on Broadway with productions like "Teahouse of the August Moon" and "The Interview." His film and television career features appearances in over 50 films and 150 television shows, where he collaborated with legendary figures including Frank Sinatra Jr., Marlon Brando, and Jennifer Connelly, and worked under renowned directors such as William Wyler and Martin Ritt. He has also shared the screen with celebrated actors like Roger Moore and Chuck Norris.
Beyond acting, Aki made his mark in the music industry as an executive producer and artist. He was the Chairman of FORE, advocating for diversity in music, and held leadership positions at Pan World Records and Golden Dragon Publishing. Aki remains active in various organizations, including the National Association of Asian American Professionals and the US China Aids Foundation. Currently, he serves as President of MANAA and leads Mustard Seed Media Group, where he wrote, directed, and starred in "Chinaman's Chance: America's Yellow Slaves." His extensive experience encompasses producing a diverse range of films, videos, and documentaries, solidifying his legacy in the entertainment world.
