Anna Madeley is a talented English actress recognized for her remarkable versatility and brightness, as noted by Philip Fisher of the British Theatre Guide. Born and raised in London, she began her journey in the performing arts as a child actress. Her training at the Central School of Speech and Drama paved the way for a successful career that includes three seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company and several notable off-West End productions.

During her time with the Royal Shakespeare Company, which spanned from 2001 to 2004, Madeley appeared in various productions, including a notable performance in The Roman Actor alongside Sir Antony Sher. In 2005, she showcased her talent in three off-West End shows, including Laura Wade's Colder Than Here and The Philanthropist, directed by David Grindley. That year concluded with her dual role in the original Royal National Theatre production of Helen Edmundson's Coram Boy.

In 2006, she took on leading roles in two BBC films: The Secret Life of Mrs Beeton and the original drama Aftersun, as well as in the ITV series The Outsiders. The following year, Madeley featured in Channel 4's Consent, which explored the complexities of an alleged date rape case.
