William Tulloch Paterson, born on June 3, 1945, in Glasgow, Scotland, is a distinguished actor celebrated for his extensive contributions to film, television, and radio. Raised in Dennistoun by a plumber father and a hairdresser mother, Paterson's passion for acting ignited during a 1961 school visit to the Citizens Theatre in Gorbals. Initially, he pursued a career in architecture, working as a quantity surveyor's apprentice for three years before redirecting his focus to the performing arts by enrolling at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
