Caitlin Jean Stasey is a talented Australian actress renowned for her captivating performances on both television and in film. Born in Victoria, Australia, she developed a passion for acting at a young age, around six years old, and later expanded her interests to include screenplay writing and documentary filmmaking.
Stasey's career took off with her portrayal of Francesca "Frankie" Thomas in the popular series The Sleepover Club, which gained significant viewership across Australia, the UK, and on Nickelodeon in the Americas. She further solidified her television presence as Rachel Kinski in the long-running soap opera Neighbours, where she garnered a loyal fanbase.
One of her most notable achievements came with her role as Ellie Linton in the film adaptation of John Marsden's acclaimed novel, Tomorrow When the War Began. Her performance in this film was met with critical acclaim, earning her the prestigious IF (Inside Film) Award for Best Actress in 2010.
Before her rise to fame, Stasey showcased her vocal talents as part of the Australian Girls Choir, featuring in a Qantas commercial where she sang "I Still Call Australia Home." This commercial was later recognized as the "Greatest Australian Commercial" on the show 20 to 1.
In pursuit of new opportunities, Caitlin relocated to Los Angeles in 2010, continuing to build her impressive career in the entertainment industry.
