He gained widespread fame for his portrayal of Matthew Crawley in the acclaimed ITV period drama series "Downton Abbey," which aired from 2010 to 2012.

Stevens showcased his dynamic range in various film roles, including the chilling character David in the 2014 thriller "The Guest," and Sir Lancelot in "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb," released the same year.
