Daniel Alan Mays, born on March 31, 1978, in Epping, Essex, England, is a distinguished actor celebrated for his diverse roles across film and theater. He gained recognition for his performances in notable films such as "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" (2011), "The Bank Job" (2008), and "Atonement" (2007). Mays has also made a significant mark on the London theater scene, having graced the stage of the Royal Court Theatre in five productions, including two specially crafted roles during the theater's landmark 50th Anniversary celebrations.
His talent garnered him the Best Actor award at the 2003 Palmare Television Festival for his compelling portrayal in the hard-hitting BBC film "Rehab."
