

David Proval
David Aaron Proval, born on May 20, 1942, is a prominent American actor recognized for his compelling performances. He gained significant acclaim for his role as Richie Aprile in HBO's acclaimed series The Sopranos and portrayed Tony DeVienazo in Martin Scorsese's 1973 classic, Mean Streets, alongside Robert De Niro and Harvey Keitel.
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Proval comes from a Jewish background and is the son of actress Clara Katz, who has Romanian roots. His filmography includes notable works such as The Shawshank Redemption, Mob Queen, Four Rooms, UHF, Innocent Blood, The Siege, and a cameo in Smokin' Aces. Additionally, he has made guest appearances in television series like Picket Fences, Boomtown, and Everybody Loves Raymond. In 1977, he lent his voice to the character Necron 99 in the cult animated feature WIZARDS.
In 2008, Proval took on a role in the comedy City of Shoulders and Noses, produced by Sybil Danning among others.
