

Ed Begley Jr.
Edward James Begley Jr., born on September 16, 1949, is a prominent American actor and passionate environmental advocate. With a prolific career spanning numerous films, television series, and stage performances, he is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Dr. Victor Ehrlich in the acclaimed medical drama *St. Elsewhere*, which aired from 1982 to 1988. This iconic role garnered him six consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations, as well as a nomination for a Golden Globe Award.
Begley's film credits are equally impressive, featuring notable appearances in classics such as *Blue Collar* (1978), *An Officer and a Gentleman* (1982), and *This Is Spinal Tap* (1984). His versatility has led him to roles in *Transylvania 6-5000* (1985), *The Accidental Tourist* (1988), *Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills* (1989), *She-Devil* (1989), *Batman Forever* (1995), and *Pineapple Express* (2008). He is also recognized for his work in Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy's mockumentaries, including *Best in Show* (2000) and *A Mighty Wind* (2003).
