William James Remar, born on December 31, 1953, is a distinguished American actor whose career spans several decades, marked by a range of memorable performances in both film and television. He gained prominence for his role as Ajax in the cult classic The Warriors (1979) and showcased his versatility as the menacing Albert Ganz in 48 Hrs. (1982). His portrayal of notorious gangster Dutch Schultz in The Cotton Club (1984) further solidified his place in cinematic history, while fans of the video game franchise recognize him as Lord Raiden in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997).
