Jason Michael Lee, born on April 25, 1970, is a multi-talented American actor, comedian, filmmaker, singer, photographer, and former professional skateboarder. He gained widespread recognition for portraying Earl Hickey on NBC's popular series *My Name Is Earl* and for his role as Dwight Hendricks in *Memphis Beat* (2010–2011). Lee is also famous for lending his voice to the character Syndrome in Pixar's *The Incredibles*, as well as for his portrayal of Dave Seville in the *Alvin and the Chipmunks* films.

A frequent collaborator with director Kevin Smith, Lee has appeared in several of his films, including *Mallrats*, *Chasing Amy*, *Dogma*, *Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back*, *Jersey Girl*, *Clerks II*, and *Cop Out*. His performance in *Chasing Amy* earned him the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.

In addition to his television and film work, Lee has starred in notable movies such as *Enemy of the State*, *Almost Famous*, *Vanilla Sky*, *Stealing Harvard*, *A Guy Thing*, and *The Ballad of Jack and Rose*. He has also lent his voice to characters in films like *Monster House* and *Underdog*.
