Jeffrey Combs, born on September 9, 1954, is a distinguished American actor celebrated for his extensive contributions to the Star Trek universe, particularly in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (DS9). He is best known for portraying various roles in DS9, most notably the Vorta clone Weyoun, which he considers his most defining and cherished character, as well as the Ferengi named Brunt. In a remarkable feat, Combs portrayed both Weyoun and Brunt in the same episode titled "The Dogs of War," making him one of the rare actors to achieve this in a single DS9 installment.

His involvement in the Star Trek franchise extended beyond DS9; he also took on the role of the Andorian commander Shran in Star Trek: Enterprise, and made appearances in Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Lower Decks, where he lent his voice to various characters. Combs has made notable television appearances in series like The 4400 and Babylon 5.
