

John Francis Daley
John Francis Daley, born on July 20, 1985, is a versatile American actor and filmmaker. He gained fame for his portrayal of Sam Weir, a high school freshman, in the cult classic NBC series Freaks and Geeks. Additionally, Daley is recognized for his role as Dr. Lance Sweets, an FBI criminal profiler on the popular crime drama Bones, for which he earned a nomination for a PRISM Award in 2014. Beyond acting, he showcases his musical talent as a keyboardist and vocalist for the band Dayplayer.
Daley has established himself as a prominent collaborator alongside writer and director Jonathan Goldstein, with whom he has worked on a variety of film projects. Their first collaboration was the screenplay for the comedy Horrible Bosses in 2011, followed by co-writing The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013) and contributing to the story for Horrible Bosses 2 (2014). They made their directorial debuts with the fifth installment of the National Lampoon's Vacation series, titled Vacation (2015). The duo also lent their writing prowess to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) alongside Jon Watts and others, and directed the 2018 comedy Game Night. In 2023, they co-directed the fantasy film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, further solidifying their partnership in the film industry.
