Karen Maruyama is a talented American actress and comedian, recognized for her dynamic performances across various television sitcoms. She has held supporting roles in notable shows such as The Jamie Foxx Show, Strip Mall, Suddenly Susan, and Arrested Development, where she showcased her comedic flair. An accomplished improv artist and instructor, Maruyama gained prominence as a guest on both the American and British editions of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Additionally, she is a proud member of The Groundlings, a prestigious improv and sketch comedy troupe.

Her film credits include a memorable role as a nurse in The Bucket List (2007) and a housekeeper in the political comedy The Campaign (2012). Maruyama is also a cast member of The Jim Henson Company’s live stage production "Puppet Up! - Uncensored," which has toured cities like Aspen, Las Vegas, Edinburgh, Sydney, and Melbourne, and continues to perform monthly at Avalon Hollywood. In 2013, she made an appearance on the third season of 2 Broke Girls, playing Han's mother, Su-Min.
