Katherine Hughes, a talented writer, director, and actress hailing from New York, is now making her mark in Los Angeles. Over the past ten years, she has immersed herself in the acting world, gaining invaluable insights from a diverse array of filmmakers who have both mentored her and fueled her own creative endeavors behind the camera. Her debut short film, Yellow Belt Fury, premiered on Short of the Week in late 2021, propelling her into the spotlight and opening doors for promising opportunities as an up-and-coming director. This includes securing funding for future projects, landing writing gigs with major studios, and signing a development deal for her first feature film. Currently, Katherine is pursuing her studies in gender and film at UCLA.
