LeAnn Rimes

LeAnn Rimes, born on August 28, 1982, is a prominent American singer-songwriter, actress, and author, primarily recognized for her powerful and emotive vocals reminiscent of legendary country artist Patsy Cline. Rimes catapulted to fame at just 13 years old, making her the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker in 1972.

Her entry into the country music scene occurred in 1996 with the release of her debut album, "Blue," which soared to the top of the Top Country Albums chart and achieved multi-platinum status according to the Recording Industry Association of America. The album's title track, initially intended for Patsy Cline in the early 1960s, became a Top 10 hit, earning Rimes instant acclaim for her vocal prowess akin to Cline's. In 1997, she followed up with "You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs," which shifted towards a more country pop sound, paving the way for several successful albums in the years to come.
