Lori Alan, born Lori Denniberg on July 18, 1966, is a versatile American actress, voice artist, writer, producer, and stand-up comedian. She is best known for her iconic voice role as Pearl Krabs the Whale on the beloved animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, a character that has delighted audiences for many years. In addition to this, she brings life to Diane Simmons, a news anchor on Family Guy, and has voiced characters such as the Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four and The Boss in the popular Metal Gear video game series. Lori has also contributed her vocal talents to various characters in Hey Arnold! and several animated films.
Her film credits include roles in major animated features like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Inside Out, Monsters University, Despicable Me 2, and Minions. Notably, she voiced Bonnie's Mom in both Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4, as well as in related Toy Story Toons.
Alan's journey into the performing arts began at a young age, making her television debut at just five years old in a Shakey's Pizza commercial. She also showcased her talent on stage as Annie’s youngest sister in a community theater production of Annie Get Your Gun. A graduate of Emerson College, she earned honors from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and is a proud former member of New York's Gotham City Improv, also known as Groundlings East.
