Lucy Ann Cohu, born on October 2, 1968, in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, is an accomplished English actress recognized for her work in stage, film, and television. During her formative years, she attended Stamford High School, a boarding institution in Lincolnshire. Cohu honed her craft at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she met her future spouse, actor Corey Johnson.

Her acting career began with a role in a production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, marking her transition from drama school to professional theater. She made her television debut in an episode of Casualty and has since built an extensive portfolio in British television, including notable roles in Soldier Soldier among others.

Cohu gained significant recognition for her role as Princess Margaret in the Channel 4 drama The Queen's Sister (2005), and her performances as Evelyn Brogan in Cape Wrath and Alice Carter in Torchwood: Children of Earth further showcased her talent. Her portrayal of Princess Margaret earned her nominations for both an Emmy and a BAFTA award, as critics lauded her dynamic and lively interpretation of the character.
