Marcus Scribner
Marcus Scribner, a proud fourth-generation native of Los Angeles, was born on January 7th at Cedars-Sinai, the same hospital where his mother took her first breaths. His family's rich legacy is reflected in his name; his father, Troy, drew inspiration from Greek and Roman history, a tradition he continued with Marcus and his sister, Athena. At just 10 years old, Marcus celebrated landing a significant guest role on the hit show "Castle" by adopting a spirited beagle he named Zeus.
In September 2014, Marcus secured a prominent role as Andre Jr. in ABC's acclaimed series "black-ish," which quickly became the highest-rated new comedy of the season. His performance earned him an NAACP Image Award, and the show itself has received multiple accolades, including a Peabody Award and several Emmy nominations.
With a deep love for animation, Marcus voiced the lively dinosaur Buck in Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" and became part of the DreamWorks animated series "Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh" on Netflix. He is also set to star in the upcoming teen film "Alexander IRL," promoting positive messages to young audiences.
When not acting, Marcus dedicates his time to humanitarian efforts, recently named the first Youth Ambassador for Beaches Resorts and Sandals Foundation. He has traveled to various Caribbean islands to advocate for children's education and serves as Chief Youth Innovator for the Reserve Protection Agency in South Africa, focusing on wildlife conservation. An honor student, Marcus aspires to attend a prestigious Pac-12 university, with Stanford and UCLA at the top of his list.
