

Michael Ealy
Michael Ealy, born Michael Brown on August 3, 1973, in Silver Spring, Maryland, is a distinguished actor whose career began in the late 1990s with various off-Broadway performances. He completed his education at Springbrook High School and later attended the University of Maryland, College Park. Ealy gained initial recognition with his roles in the films *Bad Company* and *Kissing Jessica Stein*, but his breakout performance came in 2002's *Barbershop*, where he portrayed Ricky Nash, a character he reprised in the sequel, *Barbershop 2: Back in Business* (2004).
Ealy's versatility was showcased in 2003 when he appeared as Slap Jack in *2 Fast 2 Furious*. His filmography continued to expand with notable projects, including *Never Die Alone* (2004) alongside DMX and the television adaptation of *Their Eyes Were Watching God* (2005), produced by Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones, featuring Halle Berry. His role in the Showtime series *Sleeper Cell* earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2006 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
Further cementing his status in Hollywood, Ealy starred in the critically acclaimed film *Seven Pounds* (2008) alongside Will Smith and took on a significant role in the ABC series *FlashForward*. In 2010, he featured in the action-thriller *Takers* and the thought-provoking drama *For Colored Girls*, as well as joining the cast of *The Good Wife* as attorney Derrick Bond.
