Ranganathan Madhavan, born on June 1, 1970, is a versatile Indian actor, writer, and producer who has successfully crossed regional boundaries to achieve widespread appeal across India. His filmography spans seven languages, making him one of the few Indian actors to enjoy such a broad reach. Over his illustrious career, Madhavan has earned two Filmfare Awards and accolades from the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, in addition to various nominations from esteemed organizations.
Madhavan's journey in the entertainment industry began with television, notably featuring in the popular Zee TV drama, Banegi Apni Baat, in 1996.
