

Ryu Jun-yeol
Ryu Jun-yeol (Hangul: 류준열; born September 25, 1986) is a prominent South Korean actor renowned for his dynamic performances. He first rose to fame with his significant role in the acclaimed television series *Reply 1988*, which aired from 2015 to 2016. A well-respected presence in Chungmuro, Ryu has since starred in multiple box-office successes such as *The King* (2017), *A Taxi Driver* (2017), *Believer* (2018), *Money* (2019), and *The Battle: Roar to Victory* (2019).
Ryu began his journey in acting after studying at Suwon University, embarking on a career in short films and independent projects starting in 2012. His feature film debut came with a minor role in the Korean Academy of Film Arts' *INGtoogi: Battle of Internet Trolls*. His breakthrough arrived with the 2014 film *Socialphobia*, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival, gaining commercial success and earning him multiple awards, including the KAFA Rising Star Award.
Ryu's television debut in 2015 featured a small role in *The Producers*, but it was his leading role in *Reply 1988* that catapulted him to stardom, garnering him acclaim and awards from the Paeksang Arts Awards and Korea Cable TV Awards. Following this success, Ryu continued to showcase his versatility in films like *One Way Trip*, *Sori: Voice from the Heart*, *No Tomorrow*, *Canola*, and the critically lauded *A Taxi Driver*, alongside Song Kang-ho.
