Shin Min-ah, born Yang Min-ah on April 5, 1984, is a prominent South Korean actress and model. Raised in a family that includes her father, mother, an older sister, and an older brother, Shin's journey into the limelight began in middle school. A pivotal moment occurred when she submitted a photo taken during a school picnic to the teen magazine KiKi, leading to her selection as a model for the publication. This early exposure opened doors into the entertainment industry, where she initially appeared in commercials and music videos.
In 2001, Shin made her acting debut in the film "Volcano High," followed by a role in "Madeleine" two years later. Her breakthrough came in 2005 with the critically acclaimed gangster film "A Bittersweet Life," where her portrayal of Hee-soo, a character that combined innocence and maturity, captured the hearts of South Korean audiences.
