Tabrett Bethell, an accomplished Australian actress born in May 1981, is widely recognized for her role as Cara Mason in the television series "Legend of the Seeker." Before embarking on her acting journey, she spent her teenage years as a fashion model, starting at the age of 16, and also showcased her talents as a cheerleader for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League.

Tabrett's transition to acting began after she completed a 12-month intensive training program at Screenwise in December 2007. During this time, she continued her modeling career, most notably appearing on the cover of The Daily Telegraph in February 2007 with a striking Neill Grigg fascinator inspired by the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Her early film credits include the role of Amy in Campbell Graham's "Anyone You Want" and Chris in "Strangers Lovers Killers."

From 2009 to 2010, she gained significant acclaim for her performance in "Legend of the Seeker," where she became a fan favorite as the fierce Mord-Sith, Cara Mason, who joined the series in its second season. Following this success, Bethell starred as Beth in the 2010 thriller "The Clinic" and received the Best Actress award at the Manhattan Film Festival for her performance in "Anyone You Want." In March 2011, she was cast as Sarah Elmira Royster, Edgar Allan Poe's muse, in a Warner Bros TV pilot, though the series was ultimately not picked up.

Interestingly, Tabrett was named after a street in Sydney, a compromise between her parents’ differing name preferences. She shares a close bond with her "Legend of the Seeker" co-star Bridget Regan and producer Debbie Tsamoudakis. Bethell also admires the music of Young Eman, appreciating his ambition.
