

Thandiwe Newton
Melanie Thandiwe Newton OBE, born on 6 November 1972, is a distinguished British actress, previously credited as Thandie Newton. She has captivated audiences with her versatile performances across film and television.
Newton gained significant recognition for her portrayal of the title character in the acclaimed film *Beloved* (1998). Her impressive filmography includes notable roles such as Nyah Nordoff-Hall in *Mission: Impossible 2* (2000), Tiffany in *Shade* (2003), and Dame Vaako in *The Chronicles of Riddick* (2004). She earned critical acclaim for her performance in *Crash* (2004), which won her a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
