Thomas Geoffrey Wilkinson (5 February 1948 – 30 December 2023) was a distinguished English actor, celebrated for his powerful performances across both theater and film. His impressive career garnered him multiple awards, including a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, and an Emmy, as well as nominations for two Academy Awards and two Laurence Olivier Awards. In recognition of his contributions to the arts, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2005.

Wilkinson honed his craft at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before making his West End debut in Hamlet (1980), earning a Laurence Olivier Award nomination. He later starred in Ibsen's An Enemy of the People (1988), which also earned him a nomination. His film credits include notable works like The Full Monty (1997), In the Bedroom (2001), and Michael Clayton (2007), alongside acclaimed performances in films such as Shakespeare in Love, The Ghost Writer, and Selma.
