

Camryn Manheim
Camryn Manheim, born Debra Frances Manheim on March 8, 1961, is a distinguished American actress celebrated for her impactful performances in television and film. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of attorney Ellenor Frutt on ABC’s acclaimed series *The Practice*, which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1999. Her talent also shone in CBS's *Ghost Whisperer* as Delia Banks and in the 2005 miniseries *Elvis*, for which she received both Golden Globe and Emmy nominations.
Manheim's career took off with her one-woman show, "Wake Up, I'm Fat," which debuted off-Broadway in 1994. The show was later adapted into a book published by Broadway Books in 1999. Her expertise in sign language, gained from her previous work as a hospital interpreter, has been utilized in various productions, including *The Practice*, an episode of *Law & Order*, and the film *Mercury Rising*.
In 2015, she participated in the Deaf West production of *Spring Awakening*, where she performed alongside deaf actors, showcasing her commitment to inclusivity in the arts. Her extensive television credits include roles in *Chicago Hope*, *Ally McBeal*, and *Will & Grace*. Since 2022, she has been a prominent cast member in the revival of *Law & Order*.
Beyond her acting career, Manheim served as secretary-treasurer of the SAG-AFTRA union from August 2019 until 2021.
