

Courteney Cox
Courteney Bass Cox, born on June 15, 1964, is an accomplished American actress, director, and producer. She rose to fame for her iconic portrayal of Monica Geller on the NBC television series Friends, which ran from 1994 to 2004. Her outstanding performance earned her seven nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award, with one win. Another significant role in her career was as Gale Weathers in the popular horror film franchise Scream, which began in 1996 and continues to this day.
Cox's television credits also include her role as Lauren Miller on the NBC sitcom Family Ties from 1987 to 1989, and Lucy Spiller on the FX drama series Dirt from 2007 to 2008. She garnered further acclaim as Jules Cobb in the ABC/TBS sitcom Cougar Town, which aired from 2009 to 2015, earning nominations for both the Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards.
In addition to her television work, Cox has appeared in various films, including the action-fantasy Masters of the Universe (1987), the comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), the animated feature Barnyard (2006), the family film Bedtime Stories (2008), and the independent drama Mothers and Daughters (2016). She co-founded the production company Coquette Productions with her former husband David Arquette and has also directed episodes of Cougar Town, the TV movie TalhotBlond (2012), and the film Just Before I Go (2014).
