Schreiber's film career took off in the mid-1990s with roles in movies such as *Mixed Nuts* (1994), *Party Girl* (1995), and *The Daytrippers* (1996). He became a familiar face in the horror genre through his performances in the original *Scream* trilogy (1996-2000) and appeared in notable films like *Ransom* (1996), *The Hurricane* (1999), and *The Manchurian Candidate* (2004).
