Mark Sinclair, born on July 18, 1967, and widely recognized as Vin Diesel, is a prominent American actor and film producer celebrated for his roles in blockbuster films. Diesel is notably among the highest-grossing actors globally, with his most iconic character being Dominic "Dom" Toretto from the immensely popular Fast & Furious franchise.

Originally hailing from California, Diesel pursued his studies in creative writing at Hunter College in New York City, which sparked his interest in screenwriting. He made his directorial debut with the short film Multi-Facial (1995), followed by his first feature film, Strays (1997). His breakthrough came in the late 1990s when he starred in Steven Spielberg's critically acclaimed Saving Private Ryan (1998). This was the launchpad for a series of successful films such as Boiler Room (2000) and The Pacifier (2005), establishing him as a leading action star across multiple franchises, including XXX and The Chronicles of Riddick.
