

Wendell Pierce
Wendell Edward Pierce, born on December 8, 1963, is a distinguished American actor and entrepreneur. After honing his craft at the Juilliard School, Pierce emerged as a prominent character actor through his compelling performances on both stage and screen. He first captured wide attention for his portrayal of Detective Bunk Moreland in the critically acclaimed HBO series, The Wire, which aired from 2002 to 2008.
Pierce's impressive television repertoire also includes significant roles such as Antoine Batiste, a talented trombonist in Treme (2010–2013), James Greer in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (2018–2023), attorney Robert Zane on Suits (2013–2019), and Clarence Thomas in the film Confirmation (2016). He received nominations for Independent Spirit Awards for his performances in films like Four (2012) and Burning Cane (2019), the latter of which he also produced.
