J.T. is resolute in his quest to protect himself and sets out to eliminate every suspect's reason for wanting him dead. He confines Carl to a psychiatric facility to prevent his escape. J.T. permits Brad to retrieve the briefcase on Monday, which is crucial for Brad's financial struggles, and arranges a meeting with Roy Bremmer in hopes of striking a deal. However, things take a turn for the worse when Carl manages to break free, someone intercepts the briefcase before Brad can reach it, and Roy Bremmer proves unyielding. Meanwhile, Jesse searches for small ways to avert her father's impending death on Friday night.
