Kaneez is taken aback when Rashid pops the question, but as wedding excitement sweeps through the Paracha household, she feels overwhelmed and withdraws, leaving Rashid bewildered and embarrassed. Meanwhile, Mandy, determined to bridge the gap between the communities in Ackley Bridge, pens an article for a conservative local paper and later joins forces with Kaneez to engage Asian parents in support of their school. While his parents are away, Naveed throws a party but is frustrated when Chloe seizes the chance to flirt with Cory.
