Detective John Kennex and his synthetic partner, Dorian, investigate a mysterious death at a hospital, where a man, moments before suffering a deadly heart attack, insisted that someone was after him and even predicted his own time of death. As they delve deeper into the case, they stumble upon an underground market dealing in vital organs, where bio-mechanical hearts are trafficked and can be remotely disabled. As the duo navigates this high-tech crime scene of 2048, Dorian seeks to reconnect with an old DRN model that has been taken out of service.
