On her first day of high school, we meet Chiyo Mihama, a brilliant 10-year-old prodigy. As she navigates her new environment, her English teacher, Yukari-sensei, faces a series of unfortunate events on her way to school. Despite her impressive intellect, Chiyo is far from flawless but quickly becomes a standout in her class. While assisting her classmates, she encounters the tall, reserved Miss Sakaki, who captivates everyone's admiration. Chiyo starts to question what lies beneath Sakaki's quiet demeanor. Then there's Tomo, the energetic girl who challenges both Chiyo and Sakaki, often landing herself in sticky situations. The dynamics shift further with the arrival of Ayumu, a transfer student from Osaka, who struggles with the stereotypes her new peers hold about her hometown.
