Black Lightning and Thunder make their way back to South Freeland to uncover the mysteries unfolding there. Upon their arrival, they are led to a nearby forest where they encounter a group of diverse moonshiners known as the Perdi. In a parallel story, Lynn grapples with overwhelming guilt, leading her into a profound state of despair. Meanwhile, Tobias realizes that his carefully laid plans are beginning to unravel.
