Jefferson Pierce faces an unprecedented challenge as the ASA holds him captive, while his wife Lynn is caught in Agent Odell's tightening control over their family. With Jennifer left to fend for herself, Freeland is now without its heroes, Black Lightning and Thunder. However, Anissa takes a bold stand against Odell, adopting her secret identity as Blackbird, and receives invaluable tactical and technological assistance from Gambi to fight back.
