On a late night, Vicki stumbles upon a horrifying murder scene, but her poor eyesight leaves her uncertain about the details. Eager to dive back into crime-solving, she faces resistance from her former partner, Detective Mike Cellucci, who cautions her against getting entangled in the investigation. Meanwhile, Henry Fitzroy, a vampire residing in Toronto, is compelled to investigate the murders to clear his name and avoid being implicated. Together, Vicki and Henry join forces, and Vicki enlists the help of Coreen Fennel as her new assistant.
