Gus and Woodrow receive a directive from the governor to save Capt. Scull, who is being held for ransom by a Mexican bandit. Meanwhile, Comanche warriors launch an attack on Austin, setting fire to a large portion of the town. Woodrow begins to fret that Maggie's child may not be his, while Gus grows increasingly worried that Clara is planning to wed someone else.
