As Mr. Buxton makes his way back to town, Miss Matty grows increasingly worried about a lonely young girl who seems to be struggling with her solitude. Determined to lend a helping hand, she takes it upon herself to reach out and offer support, hoping to make a positive difference in the child's life. The return of Mr. Buxton adds a layer of complexity to the situation, as Miss Matty navigates her own feelings while trying to be there for the isolated youth.
