S1E7 The Killer Punch/The Will of Death
On the night of October 19, 1990, flamboyant Sydney socialite Ludwig Gertsch met a tragic end, strangled with an elastic strap in the bedroom of his partner, Mr. Vincent Esposito. His remains, concealed in a doona, were discovered in the Blue Mountains on November 11, 1990. In September 1994, a Sydney Coroner concluded that Ludwig was murdered "by a person or persons unknown," but the investigation stalled, leaving his killer unpunished. Meanwhile, in Warnervale, the murder of Allen Hall shocked the community. He lived with Christine Hicks, the ex-wife of boxing trainer Cec Waters. Eventually, Waters' eldest son, Dean, was charged with Hall's murder, but it soon came to light that Dean acted under his father's oppressive influence. Cec Waters emerged as a domineering figure, obsessed with molding his sons into boxing champions while enforcing his malicious will
