Max and Logan are enjoying a vacation, but Logan has an ulterior motive—he's investigating a long-buried crime. While they’re away, Max forms a friendship with a young boy who harbors a hidden truth. As they dig into the past, they inadvertently attract the attention of the town's gangster, putting both Max and Logan in danger. At the same time, Max experiences a severe seizure that complicates their already precarious situation.
