Following a prolonged captivity at Manticore, Max has successfully thwarted intense efforts to reprogram and breed her, plotting her escape from the genetics facility. She finds an ally in Joshua, a kind-hearted yet formidable creature created by Manticore, and together they liberate the other genetically altered beings.
