During an unauthorized operation against a human trafficking ring in Los Angeles, Bill encounters a former informant who is in a precarious situation. Charlie, back from her break and keen to dive back into action, is paired with Joseph, the last person she wants to work with. Meanwhile, Bill finds himself at odds with the board over the department's management, prompting Jerry to lend Bill a helping hand to improve their relationship.
