Carlos grows worried when he discovers Gabrielle's strange fixation on her doll. Bob and Lee enlist the help of the non-traditional Renee to design a room for their newly adopted daughter. Bree encounters Keith's former girlfriend, Amber (guest star Rochelle Aytes), who reveals unexpected secrets about his history. Meanwhile, Susan seeks to connect with a grumpy man named Dick (guest star Gregory Itzin), who has lost hope in finding a kidney donor. Paul, on the other hand, seems to have plans for Beth (guest star Emily Bergl) as he arranges a getaway to a secluded cabin.
