Set in Texas in 1872, John Ellis, a former slave, and Sarah, a young orphan, establish New Babylon, a refuge for society's outcasts. Django arrives in search of the killer responsible for his family's tragic fate. To his shock, he discovers that his daughter, Sarah, is the only survivor of the massacre.
