The lawyers are taken aback when a young couple pleads with them to undo an adoption after discovering their baby's significant health problems. Abigail identifies that the father, Ajay, is primarily influencing the decision and persuades the mother, Jane, to fight for custody of their child. In another storyline, Daniel advocates for his promotion to partner after ending his relationship with Danielle. Meanwhile, Lucy and Maggie clash over their differing views on starting a family, while Abigail and Frank confront their own parenting challenges when Sofia is caught kissing a boy Abby refers to as "the Charles Manson kid."
