Fatherhood (2004)
S1E4 The Lyin' King
Dr. Bindlebeep is gearing up to deliver a speech on honesty in the media that evening, so he takes the opportunity to rehearse at breakfast with his family. He passionately discusses the importance of truth, conveniently omitting his sneaky donut escapades during morning walks, which he hides from Norma. After the family leaves, they’re all reminded of the value of honesty, but young Roy doesn't heed the advice. Eager to watch a PG-13 film, the twelve-year-old spins a web of lies that entraps him further. Although he eventually sneaks into the movie, he learns that the fallout from dishonesty can be more severe than expected.
