Eddie and I buried the Nostradamus book, sealing it in a cooler and encasing it in Kevlar before covering it with clay and curing it over a fire. This book has guided us through countless Gua encounters in recent months; it’s become essential to our mission. The aliens are after it, determined to take it for themselves. We’re ensuring they never locate it. If either Eddie or I get captured by the Gua, the book serves as our safety net—our hidden treasure.
