Adam Cole and his partner showcase a vaudeville mentalism act that relies on secret codes. However, the performance is jeopardized as Cole begins to lose his hearing. During a visit to a doctor, he stumbles upon an old hearing aid in the doctor’s collection. To his surprise, this device grants him the ability to read minds, but the overwhelming influx of thoughts proves deadly—unless he transfers them onto an unsuspecting victim. As the trio pursues Cole, he finds himself cornered, unable to rid himself of the thoughts, leading to a horrific demise.
