The United Nations doubts Cobra Commander's claim of having destroyed the bridge and decides to dispatch a fleet to Volcania. General Hawk comes to the Joes' aid, leading an assault on the Cobra command center concealed inside the volcano. They successfully obliterate the facility, taking Destro's space weapon down with it. As the Joes make their escape, Cobra Commander and his forces chase after them, but just as the situation looks dire, UN reinforcements and the fleet arrive, securing yet another victory for the Joes.
